Summer Internship (Paid): Customer Self-Service Platform Intern
Linker Finance is a fintech company helping community banks grow in the digital age. We build core-agnostic technology that enables banks to launch modern digital banking experiences, streamline retail and business onboarding, and grow deposits without replacing their core systems.Our platform supports online deposit account opening, business onboarding, digital banking, and relationship-building tools for both retail and commercial banking. Role Overview
The Customer Self-Service Platform Intern will support the development of customer-facing customization
capabilities within our 360 platform. This role focuses on enabling customers to self-manage branding and
content elements such as logos, text, color palettes, visual hierarchy, and configurable UI components. This
internship blends front-end development, design systems thinking, and user experience optimization. The intern
will work closely with leadership and engineering to prototype and implement scalable customization tools that
reduce manual support overhead while improving customer autonomy.
Customer Self-Service UI Development
• Build and enhance front-end components allowing customers to upload logos and manage branding assets.
• Develop tools for editing text fields, labels, and configurable content within the platform.
• Create intuitive configuration interfaces that minimize friction and reduce support dependency.
• Ensure responsive design and usability across device types.
Branding & Design System Enablement
• Define color mapping and theming standards for customizable UI elements.
• Create reusable styling frameworks that enable safe customer-level customization.
• Develop guardrails to prevent design-breaking inputs while maintaining flexibility.
• Support consistent visual hierarchy across customer-facing screens.
Platform Customization & Integration
• Support implementation of dynamic configuration features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with engineering to connect UI components to backend configuration logic.
• Utilize GitHub and structured development workflows for version control.
• Help build scalable customization models supporting multi-tenant environments.
UX Optimization & Experimentation
• Prototype improved workflows for customer customization.
• Test usability of self-service tools and identify friction points.
• Support iterative improvements based on real-world feedback.
• Explore lightweight automation or AI-assisted asset formatting (stretch goal).
Documentation & Process Support
• Document customization features and configuration logic.
• Create internal guides for branding component structure.
• Help standardize UI patterns for future platform expansion.
Qualifications & Experience
• Currently enrolled in a college program related to Creative Technologies, Computer Science, Design, or
similar field.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with GitHub or other version control tools.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects).
• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, color theory, and layout principles.
• Experience working on team-based development projects.
